- Each participant must make, create or do something in pink.
- Each participant must take a digital photo of an event or creation and upload the image to www.paintitpinkcanada.com or www.mettezydurose.ca between the Contest Commencement Date and the Contest Closure Date (“Contest Period”).
- Images cannot be degrading, hateful, defamatory, libelous, obscene, indecent, pornographic or otherwise objectionable. Avon reserves the right in its sole discretion to review images prior to being uploaded and to disqualify those that violate the foregoing.
- For each acceptable image uploaded, the participant will be eligible to accumulate votes. People will be allowed to vote for an image once per day per authorized email address.
- A participant may enter more than one image; however, each participant shall be eligible to win either the grand prize or a secondary prize.
- Avon will donate $2 per vote to a breast cancer organization in the Participant’s region up to a maximum of $500,000 total. The funds will be distributed to breast cancer organizations across Canada as decided by the Avon Foundation for Women. Avon reserves the final decision regarding the distribution of the funds.

- The grand prize, the All Inclusive Vacation in Punta Cana will be awarded to the qualifying participant for the image that received the highest number of votes during the Contest Period. Voting should be based on originality, creativity and photographic quality.

- 5 day / 4 night stay in double occupancy for 2 adults

- The 10 Avon Gift Packs valued at $300 each will be awarded to the 10 runner-up participants who uploaded the images that received the highest number of votes during the Contest Period. The $300 Avon Gift Packs include an assortment of Avon Products. The ten runners-up cannot be grand prize winners.
- The 100 Avon Gift Packs valued at $50 each will be awarded in a random draw of all participants who uploaded an image during the Contest Period. Each acceptable image uploaded counts as one entry in this random draw. The $50 Avon Gift Packs include an assortment of Avon Products. All participants are entitled to win a $50 Avon gift pack if randomly chosen.
- You can encourage others to participate in this program by sending our forwardable email found at www.paintitpinkcanada.com or www.mettezydurose.ca. Each time a participant sends the email to a friend, the participant’s name will be automatically entered in a random draw for the chance to win an All-Inclusive Vacation in Puerto Rico. You cannot forward the email to the same email address to qualify for additional entries. Additional entries will only be valid if sent to a new authorized email address.

- For the trips to Punta Cana and Puerto Rico, it is the winner’s sole responsibility along with their travelling companion for all costs not expressly described herein including, without limitation, all applicable air and departure taxes, security fees and related service charges, local departure taxes, airport improvement fees, fuel/currency surcharges, in-flight meals and beverages, seat selection fees, additional checked baggage fees, in flight entertainment costs, gratuities, merchandise, telephone call, all personal expense of any kind or nature, together with any applicable overnight layover. All travel documentation and insurance is the responsibility of the winner and travelling companion.
General:
The random draws for the 100 gift packs of $50.00 worth of Avon products and the trip to Puerto Rico will take place on or about October 5, 2009 (“Draw Date”). The votes will also be tabulated for the grand prize trip and the runner-up gift packs on or about October 5, 2009.
All prize winners will be notified by email on or about October 9th, 2009. The winners must respond within five (5) business days following notification, in order to claim their prize. In order to claim one of the all-inclusive vacations, the selected winners must correctly answer unaided the following mathematical skill-testing question: (8 x 10 ÷ 4) + 10 – 5. If the mathematical skill testing question is incorrectly answered, the winners will be automatically disqualified. In addition, before you can receive your prize, an Affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release (“Release”) must be signed and returned to Avon. Said Release will be sent by email to the winners within (5) five business days from notification and must be signed and returned to Avon within five (5) business days. The Avon Gift Packs will be distributed within 6-8 weeks after each winner has successfully contacted and notified of his/her prize.
The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. If a winner does not respond in accordance with the contest rules or a winner does not comply with the contest rules, he/she will be disqualified and will not receive the prize, and another winner will be selected. Avon is not responsible for any reason whatsoever of a selected winner to receive the notification or for Avon to receive a selected winner’s response. The return of a prize notification as undeliverable by email will result in disqualification and selection of an alternate potential winner.
Avon shall not be responsible for any photos, votes or e-mail addresses that are not calculated in the results. Avon is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the offer or administration of this contest, including but not limited to errors in advertising, the official rules, the selection and announcement of winners, or the distribution of any prize, whether caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the contest. Winner’s may be required to provide Avon with proof that the winner is the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the winning entry.
The photograph, in its entirety, must be a single work of original material taken by the participant. By entering the Contest, the participant represents, acknowledges and warrants that the submitted photograph is an original work created solely by the participant, that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy/publicity or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has any right, title, claim or interest in the photograph.
The Prizes must be accepted exactly as awarded and are non-transferable. No cash equivalents will be offered if the prizes are not desired. Avon reserves the right, in its sole discretion to substitute any and all of each prize for a prize of equal or greater value should all or part of a prize become unavailable for any reason.
The “Paint it Pink Canada Consumer Contest” is open to all residents of Canada who have reached the age of majority in the province at the time of contest entry, excluding all employees of Avon Canada Inc. and persons with whom they are domiciled. This contest is subject to all Canadian Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws and void in whole or in part where prohibited by law.
By entering the contest, you hereby:
(i) grant Avon the right, at its option, to advertise and/or publish any winner’s name, address, photo and likeness without notification and remuneration to the winner in any publicity related to this contest carried out by Avon worldwide and in perpetuity, in any and all forms of media now known or hereafter devised, including the internet, unless prohibited by law; (ii) acknowledge that Avon may disclose your personal information to service providers of Avon in connection with any of the activities in connection with this contest.
Avon and each of their officers, directors, affiliates, related entities, partners, partnerships, principal, representatives, agents, licensees, sponsors, successors and assigns (i) make no warranty, guarantee or representation of any kind concerning any prize, (ii) disclaim any implied warranty, and (iii) are not liable for injury, loss, or damage of any kind resulting from the acceptance or use of any prize or from participation in this contest.
Subject to the jurisdiction of the Regie des alcools, des courses et des jeux in Quebec, Avon reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or modify all or any portion of this contest and/or contest rules at any time, for any reason without prior notice.
Quebec residents: Any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Regie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Regie only for the purposes of helping the parties reach a settlement.
